• The Master Pans Catalog has been carefully compiled to assist dealerships in locating, identifying and ordering Pontiac replacement parts. It is printed and distributed annually. A Replacement Page Plan for the Master Parts Catalog is available. Under this plan, replacement pages covering changes are issued to subscribing dealers each month or as often as necessary.
• Thus, .the tedious and time consuming job of postirig monthly Parts and Accessories Release and Change Notice information is eliminated. Dealers not subscribing to the Replacement Page Plan should post all information from the monthly P.A.R.C.N. to their Master Pans Catalog as detailed below. Failure to post these releases may result in incorrect parts being ordered, delays in securing parts, and general loss of the latest available information. FIRST: Enter all Transfers and Replacements as quite a few of these will be New Pans and will, therefore, eliminate duplication when entering New Pans.
• These changes should be made by crossing out the old Part Number and inserting the new number and transferring all model information from the old part to the replacing nun;iber. SECOND: Enter the remaining New Parts released that have not been previously entered from Transfers or Replacements. THIRD: Remove all Discontinuations and make corrections to application information.
• MASTER C ATALOG PREFACE PAGES GM TELEGRAPHIC CODE * Shown on Page 15 is the GM Telegraphic Code, which will be found both convenient and economical in transmitting telegraphic messages relating to the pans business. WAREHOUSE LOCATIONS* A complete list of Pans Warehouse Locations is shown on Page 16. All parts and accessories should be ordered from the Dealer’s assigned General Motors Parts Division Warehouse unless otherwise instructed.
• ABBREVIATIONS Due to space limitations, and in order to provide a neat appearing copy, extensive use is made of abbreviations throughout this Catalog. A list of commonly used abbreviations appears on Pages 17 and 18. MODEL IDENTIFICATION Located on Pages 19 through 28 is Model Series Identification information. *NOTE: Applicable only to dealers in the Continental United States.
