BOBCAT S70 Skid Steer Loader Operation & Maintenance Manual 6986660 PDF DOWNLOAD
FOREWORD

This Operation & Maintenance Manual was written to provide the owner/operator with instructions on the safe operation and maintenance of the Bobcat loader.
READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING YOUR BOBCAT LOADER.
If you have any questions, please consult your Bobcat dealer.
Please note that this manual may illustrate options and accessories that are not installed on your specific loader.

FIRE PREVENTION
Hydraulic System:

  • Check hydraulic tubes, hoses, and fittings for damage and leakage.
  • Never use open flame or bare skin to check for leaks.
  • Ensure proper routing of hydraulic tubes and hoses with adequate support and secure clamps.
  • Tighten or replace any parts that show leakage.
  • Clean fluid spills and avoid using gasoline or diesel fuel for cleaning parts. Use commercial nonflammable solvents.

Fueling:

  • Stop the engine and let it cool before adding fuel.
  • No smoking! Refuel the machine away from open flames or sparks.
  • Fill the fuel tank outdoors.
  • Take precautions with Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) to avoid static ignition hazards. Consult with your fuel or fuel system supplier for proper grounding and bonding practices.

Starting:

  • Do not use ether or starting fluids on engines with glow plugs or air intake heaters to prevent explosion and injuries.
  • Follow the procedure in the Operation & Maintenance Manual for battery connection and jump-starting.

Spark Arrester Exhaust System:

  • Regularly check and maintain the spark arrester exhaust system.
  • Follow the procedure in the Operation & Maintenance Manual for cleaning the spark arrester muffler if equipped.
  • Note that the muffler and exhaust gases are still hot.

Welding and Grinding:

  • Clean the machine and attachment, disconnect the battery, and disconnect the wiring from the Bobcat controllers before welding.
  • Cover rubber hoses, battery, and all other flammable parts.
  • Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when welding.
  • Ensure good ventilation when grinding or welding painted parts.
  • Wear a dust mask when grinding painted parts to protect against toxic dust or gas.
  • Repair nonmetallic parts in a well-ventilated area away from open flames or sparks, as dust from these parts can be flammable or explosive.

Fire Extinguishers:

Know the location of fire extinguishers and first aid kits and learn how to use them.
  • Regularly inspect and service the fire extinguisher.
  • Follow the recommendations on the instructions plate.
  • This is the same manual used by the dealers to diagnose and troubleshoot your vehicle
  • You will be directed to the download page as soon as the purchase is completed. The whole payment and downloading process will take anywhere between 2-5 minutes
  • Need any other service / repair / parts manual, please feel free to contact [email protected] . We still have 50,000 manuals unlisted
