FOREWORD:

This Operation & Maintenance Manual was written to give the owner/operator instructions on the safe operation and maintenance of the Silage Defacer. READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING YOUR SILAGE DEFACER. If you have any questions, see your Bobcat dealer

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS :

SAFE OPERATION NEEDS A QUALIFIED OPERATOR 
A QUALIFIED OPERATOR MUST DO THE FOLLOWING 

• USE SAFETY RULES
• Check that the Bob–Tach levers are in the locked position and the wedges are fully engaged into the holes of the
attachment.
• Make sure all the controls (levers and pedals) are in the NEUTRAL position before starting the Bobcat loader or
excavator.
• Keep your feet on the pedals (or floor plates), seat belt fastened snugly and seat bar lowered when operating the
Bobcat loader and attachment.
• When learning to operate the attachment, do it at a slow rate in an area clear of bystanders.
• DO NOT permit personnel to be in the work area when operating the Bobcat loader or excavator and attachment.
• Before leaving the operator’s seat, always lower the lift arms fully, engage the brake, stop the engine, raise the seat
bar and move the pedals until both are locked.
• DO NOT make any adjustments or repairs on the Bobcat loader or excavator or attachment while the engine is
running.
• Check for underground lines before digging.
• Wear safety approved eye protection.
• Do not modify equipment or add attachments that are not approved by the manufacturer.
• The attachment must be used ONLY on machines with the correct load capacity.
• Operate the Wheel Saw only from the operator’s seat.
• Never operate the Wheel Saw in a lifted position. Work only on the surface that the machine is standing on.
