This set-up procedure is provided to enable the technician to set up and adjust the guidance system on BT Prime-Mover 0E35 Electric Order Selectors. It is applicable only to trucks which have been retrofitted for straight line guidance only. This procedure assumes proper installation of the NDC Automation Kit for guidance.
Review the entire procedure before attempting to set up the truck’s guidance system. It is essential that the steps be followed exactly as listed to assure satisfactory truck setup. As a minimum, the following tools and equipment are required to set up the guidance system:
1. A digital multimeter (Fluke 8060A or equal).
2. Common hand tools.
3. Truck and guidance system wiring diagrams.
4. Floor guidepath wiring diagram.
5. A functioning line driver.
The guidepath in the floor and the line driver should have been installed and tested by the contractor. Truck mounted components were installed and tested at the g1 Prime-Mover factory. Some adjustments, of course, may be necessary.
