OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
PRELIMINARY SERVICE (REACH TRUCK):

• Examine your Prime-Mover Electric Truck carefully to determine whether or not it has been damaged in shipment. Any damage should be immediately reported to the transportation company.
• The new machine should be checked out by a qualified mechanic. A check sheet is sent with each machine. One copy is to be returned to the Prime-Mover Co. to validate warranty and to assure that the user has received a quality Prime- Mover product ready to do its job.
• All operators should be trained before operating this or any materials handling truck. This train- ing should include a study of safe operating practices and actual supervised driving experience. A study of maintenance checks required will also protect the investment in this machine.
• It is recommended that trained and authorized operators be equipped with badges or other visual indication of their authorization. Drivers’ records should also be maintained to encourage good operating practices.
• The operator should be familiar with all opera ting instructions before attempting to operate the machine. Check the transmission oil level and hy- draulic unit oil level before operation. Check to determine that the battery is adequately charged and properly installed and connected.
• The dead man pedal should be checked before each operation. The machine should not be operated if release of the pedal does not shut off electrical power to the drive and set the brakes. A schedule for checking the battery charge and condition is necessary for satisfactory operation of any battery powered truck.
• The direction controls, mast controls and reach control are conveniently located directly ahead of the operator. The manual spool valves located under the shield allow fine metering of the hydraulically operated mechanisms.
