The machine which you own has been designed and built with quality constantly in mind. It conforms to the safety rules currently in force. See “Official documents”. Nevertheless, this does not exclude all risk of accidents. That is why it is essential to observe elementary safety rules and precautions.

• Read this manual carefully and pay particular attention to the instructions concerning safety, operation and maintenance, so as to avoid all risk of injury while driving or servicing the machine. Use this manual as a guide. Your machine will remain a reliable working tool as long as it is kept in good working condition and serviced properly.
• The standard equipment and tools on this machine are designed to carry out all types of earthmoving, rehandling, boring and ditchcleaning tasks, etc. If you have to use this machine to handle a load (tubes, pipes, shuttering, etc.) make sure that it is suitable for performing that type of work.
• If this kind of application is envisaged, it is essential that the machine is fitted with safety valves, an overload indicator, a load chart showing the maximum loads that can be handled corresponding to the type of machine and its attachment, and a load fixing point. At the same time, all legal requirements must be strictly observed.
• Do not use this machine for any application or purpose other than those described in this manual. If the machine is to be used for duties involving the use of special attachments or equipment, then consult your CASE Dealer in order to make sure that any adaptations or modifications made are in keeping with the technical specifications of the machine and with prevailing safety requirements.
• Any modification or adaptation which is not approved by the manufacturer may invalidate the machine’s initial conformity as regards safety requirements.
