TO THE OWNER:

• The No. 8 Tractor Plow is designed for the farm where conditions range from those’of light spring plowing to the hardest kind of fall plowing; . it is available in 10″, 12″, 14″ and 16″ sizes. It is an excellent plow where the depth is up to 9″ or 10″. The bottoms are spaced about 2.5″ (14″ plow) from one share point to the next in order to give ample clearance in turning over and thoroughly covering heavy growths of stalks, weeds or green manure crops.
• It is sturdily built throughout, easy to handle in any field and easy to adjust to do the kind of work the most particular plowman can ask for. As regularly supplied, it meets all the requirements of the average farm and can be equipped to meet special conditions or unusual plowing requirements. The plow may be obtained with either the clutch lift or with the Remote Hydraulic Cylinder Lift. Plows which have the clutch lift may be converted to cylinder lift by obtaining the Re- mote Hydraulic Cylinder Lift Attachment.
• The No. 8 Remote Hydraulic Cylinder Lift Tractor Plows are designed for use with any make of tractor equipped with a hydraulic pump and standard A. S. A. E. 8″ stroke hydraulic re— mote-control cylinder. The hydraulic cylinder is mounted at the front of the plow over the second beam. A hold-up de- vice is provided to hold the plow in the raised po- sition when the cylinder is remoxfed.
• Removal and installation of the cylinder is facillitated by pivoting the bracket at the forward end of the cylinder support. The two hydraulic hoses connect to the break- away coupling mounted on the tractor. Should the plow strike a rock or stump in the field the hitch will release and at the same time the hoses will pull away from the tractor at the break-away coupling. A release lever is built into the break- away coupling so the hoses may be released byhand when desired.
• Oil passages in the break- away coupling and in the hose ends are automat— ically covered when the hoses pull away. This prevents oil escaping or dirt entering the system. A hose support, mounted on the hitch, supports the hoses, keeps them clean and provides a lifting handle for the hitch.
• The operator of a remote hydraulic cylinder lift plow has the plow under control at all times. Any soft spots in the field may be plowed to a uniform depth and as the plow passes down the field, the desired depth is restored when soil conditions agair. become normal. Quick and positive depth control is assured.
