OPERATION :
Complete instructions for operating your U ni – Loader safely and efficiently are given on the fol1mving pages. By following these directions carefully. you can be sure that you are taking full advantage of the many features built into the unit. Then the term right” or left!! is used, it is determined from a position on the operator’s seat, facing the front of the unit, unless otherwise stated.
Operating The Engine:
1. Perform the following checks and services before starting the engine for the first time each day. a. Check the engine crankcase ollievel. b. Fill fuel tank with the proper type of fuel.
2. Make sure the left hand and right hand operating levers are in neutral position (vertical) and that the boom and bucket control levers are in neutral (also vertical),
3. Place the hand throttle midway in its range of travel.
4. Use choke when atmospheric temperature is below 60 degrees P., by pulling out on the engine choke knob.
5. Turn the key switch clockwise, all the way to the right. Depress the starter push button to engage electrical system and start the engine. Do not hold the push button in start position for more than 30 seconds at a time. To do so may overheat the starter. If the engine does not start the first time, wait for a minute or two before trying again. If it does not start after four such attempts, refer to “Trouble Shooting” section of Manual.
6. As soon as the engine starts, push the choke in gradually. During- cold weather it may be necessary to leave the choke partially on for the first few minutes, The choke is closed when button is pulled out and open when button is pushed in.
7. For starting instructions concerning Deutz Diesel, refer to diesel instruction and trouble shooting section.
