INTRODUCTION :

The Case W-5A Diesel Loader is an economical, rubbertired,
front end Loader designed for the small contractoi:, cement and
block factories, municipalities, coal and lumber yards, dock areas,
warehouses, foundries, factories and public utility companies where
a small loader can be advantageously used because of space limitations
or as a utility machine.
The rugged combination of a Case Engine and Power-Reversing
Transmission with four speed ranges forward and four speed ranges
reverse, provides a working speed adaptable to all of the above uses.
Case Engine
The Case W-5A Diesel Loaders are powered by a 188 cu. in. full –
diesel engine. Here are some of the outstanding features of the engine.
1. Heavy Rib Constructed Block – five bearing induction hardened
counterbalanced crankshaft,
2. Multi-purpose fuel filtering system. Filters both dirt and water
from fuel. Replaceable cartridge element provides 560 square inches
of filtering area.
3. Intake manifold heaters are standard equipment to aid cold weather
starting.
