General Instructions

Transport

• For transport, as well as for assembly and installation, the equipment and its sub-assemblies are provided with suitable attachment points for lifting appliances as far as this is technically feasible. For transport and for lowering and lifting the loads only such lifting appliances and hoists must be used as are in accordance with the technical instructions and legal regulations.
• Before transporting at below freezing temperatures hydraulic components, which have been operated by emulsion (HFAE or HFAS)*, must be drained completely and subsequently filled with preserving fluid **.
• For longer periods of storage or wintering of the equipment in the open air, electrical ended electronic components must be removed unless a suitable wrapping that encloses the component provides safe protection against detrimental environmental influences for components of this kind or the equipment as a whole. The electric cables remain on the equipment even if the components mentioned are removed. They must be carefully protected against transportation damage and contamination of the connections.
