INTRODUCTION
1. The information contained in this manual provides guidelines for the operation and maintenance of
the Model 201 M Shovel Specification No.201 M-HR13.
2. All specifications referred to throughout the text and on drawings, conform with Marion Power
Shovel Division Engineering Department. Queries or criticism on the contents of the manual should be
addressed to:

3. Within the manual, illustrations which are in text, have been numbered consecutively within each
chapter commencing with Fig. 1. End of chapter illustrations have been numbered with Section, Chapter
and Figure Number e.g. Fig 3.3.1 is the first end of chapter illustration for Section 3, Chapter 3.
4. This manual is not a spare parts book and should not be used as such. A separate, detailed repair
parts book is supplied.
5. In any conversation or with any correspondence relating to this machine, the machine serial
number must be quoted, records of each machine being filed by serial number. The serial number is
shown on a plate located in the operator’s cab.
