MACHINE OPERATION :
The Jeffrey Model 1038 HHS-R is а radio-controlled drum type continuous miner with appropriate weight, balance, cutting and loading power to еnаЫе the productive mining of coal and other soft mineral seams ranging from 1,500 mm up to 4,000 mm thick. The machine is mounted on crawler tracks which provide full moЬility and sharp turning radius in both bord-and-pillar and long wall development mining plans. The ranging cutting head mines material from the solid face using а chainless-driverotating drum, and а CLA-type gathering head and high-speed conveyor work to gather and transport the mined material to the haulage system behind the miner.
