Basic machine:

The hydraulic excavator comprises the main assembly groups:

• UNDERCARRIAGE
• SUPERSTRUCTURE and
• WORKING EQUIPMENT

Undercarriage:

• The excavator’s undercarriage serves as a stable oase for·workingand as the means of moving/driving the exc ava tor.
• The tracks are driven hydraulical ly through hyd. motors and final drives.
• Undercarriage and superstructure are connected to one another through the swing bearing.

Superstructure
The super structure contains the drive unit (primary mover) and part of the hydraulics and electrics.
Drive unit (primary mover)
The drive unit comprises engine, transfer gear, hydraulic pumps, cylinoers ano hydraulic motors.
Hydraulics:

• All working and travel movements are carried out hydraulically. The movements are summoned via servo-controlled valves; the comn-ands for the movements being given manually and transferred through servo control circuits.
• A rotor (rotary connecti on) co nducts oil flows from the superstructure into the undercarriage. Pressure relief valves protect the hydraulic circuits against overpressure.
