FOREWORD

• The purpose of this manual is to help the drill operator understand the working of the P ANELVIEW MONITOR as it pertains to the operator during drill operation.
• All servicing and most calibration to be performed on the monitor are to be done only by qualified service personnel. The first chapter of this manual deals with the theory or technical aspects of the monitor.
• The second chapter of this manual deals with the actual use of the monitor by the operator to properly operate the drill.

DESCRIPTION

• The Panelview (figure 1-1) is an operator CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) display and input terminal which is located in the machine operator’s cab.
• This unit provides the operator with enhanced status and fault information. Additionally, this unit includes custom defined pushbuttons and a numeric keypad which allows tasks, such as lube system timing adjustments and head position limit calibrations, to be easily initiated from within the operator’s cab.
