  • Non-intrinsically safe components (NIS) for locations without a danger of explosion.
  • Intrinsically safe components (IS) for locations with a danger of explosion.
This manual describes how to service and/or repair the unit.
A central component of the MMC system is the CIOS® system (CIOS = Configurable
Input Output System) with I/O modules (I/O = Input / Output). The designation
CIOS® is legally protected and is the property of Caterpillar Global Mining
Europe GmbH, Lünen. For the purpose of improved legibility, the registered
trademark symbol® will henceforth not be used in this manual.
