INTRODUCTION:

This manual provides information on the use, setting and servicing of the CLAAS Disc Mower. The advice on the care and servicing should be followed in order to obtain maximum performance and long service.

• The assembly and the regular inspection of your machine should be performed by your specialist workshop. Neglect in maintenance and service and incorrect use will result in poor machine efficiency and loss of valuable time.
• By correct operation and servicing you can make full use of the technical knowledge and experience with which your machine has been designed.

Please also note that the CLAAS disc mower may also be referred to as the machine or just the mower unit in the following chapters. The instructions set forth in this manual must be read carefully and followed by all persons concerned with operation, maintenance, repair or inspection of this machine in order to prevent accidents.

• Some safety guards and covers have been removed for illustration in this manual. All protective equipment and covers must be attached before the machine is started up! Please particularly read the sections »Safety Instructions« and »Before Operation«.
• The use of spare parts, accessories and additional equipment which is not originally manufactured, checked and released by CLAAS can have a negative effect on specific design features of the CLAAS machine or on its operability, thereby impairing active and/or passive operating safety, as well as safety at work (accident prevention).
