Introduction

The operator’s manual is primarily intended for the driver. It contains information regarding the adjustment, operation and maintenance of the CLAAS DOMINATOR 58 S / 58 SPECIAL, DOMINATOR 48 S / 48 SPECIAL and DOMINATOR 38 S combine harvesters.

DOMINATOR 58 I 48 SPECIAL
The following items in the operator’s manual have been
changed:

• Addition on page 2.2: “Note on compressor-type air conditioner”to page 2.5 of the operator’s manual Additions on page 3.2 figs. 1 to 3 replace fig. 52 on page 3.18 of the operator’s manual
• Addition on page 3.2 fig. 4 new, page 3.22 of the operator’s manual Addition figs. 5 and 6 new, for page 3.20 of the operator’s manual Addition on page 3.4 fig. 7 new, for figs. 79 and 80 on page 3.28/29 of the operator’s manual Additions on pages 4.2
• and 4.3 (maintenance schedules) replace the maintenance schedules on pages 4.3 and 4.4 of the operator’s manual. Additions on page 4.4 figs. 1 and 2 replace fig. 1 on page 4.7 of the operator’s manual. This change (filter for hydraulic system) was introduced with effect from the following machine numbers onward:

DOMINATOR 58: from machine number 154 01 347
DOMINATOR 48: from machine number 153 02 401
DOMINATOR 38: from machine number 152 01 440
This new filter may also be used for older machines.

Additions on page 4.5 figs. 3 and 4 replace fig. 6 on
page 4.9 of the operator’s manual.
This addition is applicable to:

DOMINATOR 58: from machine number 154 01 627
DOMINATOR 48: from machine number 153 02 591
DOMINATOR 38: from machine number 152 01 490

• Additions on pages 4.6- 4.9 figs. 5 to 12 replace figs. 30 to 32 on pages 4.23 and 4.24 of the operator’s manual
• Additions on pages 5.2 and 5.3 (maintenance schedule and lubricants chart) replace all information concerning the engines on pages 4.4 and 4.5 of the operator’s manual
• Figures 1 to 14 are additional to group 5 of the operator’s manual and cover the PERKINS Engine 1006.6.
