Introduction
1.1 General Information
1.1.1 How to use this manual
- The present Operator’s Manual is primarily intended for the machine operator and contains information on using, setting and operating the machine.
- In general, texts and pictures apply to all machine models covered by this manual. Changes have been pointed out by captions and text notes.
- The chapters are subdivided into the respective subassemblies of the machine. Provided all instructions regarding maintenance and care of your machine are followed, you can count on many years of reliable service. Please have your authorised CLAAS dealer carry out the recommended regular inspections.
- The neglecting of regular maintenance and proper machine operation lead to reduced performance and loss of time.
- If proper operation and careful maintenance is ensured, your machine which incorporates many years of experience and the latest harvesting equipment technology will render you excellent service. Front attachments and trailed implements come with a separate Operator’s Manual.
Safety precautions
3.1 General Information
Before putting the machine into operation, read the Operator’s Manual and follow the safety precautions.
3.1.1 Operational safety
- The instructions contained in this operator’s manual should be carefully read and observed by all persons involved with the operation, maintenance and inspection of this header device in order to prevent accidents. Pay particular attention to the sections “Safety Rules” and “Prior to operation”.
- The use of spare parts, accessories and auxiliary equipment that are not original CLAAS products and have not specifically been tested and approved by CLAAS, can change the specified design characteristics of the CLAAS combine or detract from its functional performance, with a possible adverse effect on the active and/or passive operational safety and on its
- occupational safety standards (accident prevention). CLAAS is in no way liable for any damage or personal injury caused as a result of the use of other than original or approved CLAAS parts, accessories and auxiliary equipment.
3.1.2 Intended use
