INTRODUCTION

This manual provides information on the use, setting and servicing of the CLAAS rotary swather. The advice on the care and servicing should be followed in order to obtain maximum performance and long service. The assembly and the regular inspection of your machine should be performed by your specialist workshop. Neglect in maintenance and service and incorrect use will result in poor machine efficiency and loss of valuable time. By correct operation and servicing you can make full use of the technical knowledge and experience with which your machine has been designed.

• The CLAAS ROTARY SWATHER is designed solely for use in customary agricultural operations (“intended use”). The swather is designed and intended to handle stem crops spread over the ground! Use in any other way is considered as contrary to the intended use.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage or injury resulting from this misuse and these risks must be born solely by the user.
• Compliance with and strict adherence to the conditions of operation, service and repair as specified by the manufacturer also constitute essential elements for the intended use.
• The CLAAS ROTARY SWATHER should be operated, serviced and repaired only by persons familiar with all its particular characteristics and acquainted with the relevant safety rules (accident prevention).
• The accident prevention regulations, all other generally recognized regulations on safety and occupational medicine and the road traffic regulations must be observed at all times.
• Any arbitrary modifications carried out on the machine will relieve the manufacturer of all liability for any resulting damage or injury.
