• This fitting and operating instruction manual provides information on the use, adjustment and operation of the CLAAS Pickup.
• The advice on care and servicing should be followed in order to obtain maximum performance and long service from the machine. The assembly and regular inspections of your machine should be carried out by your specialist workshop.
• Neglect in maintenance or service or incorrect use will result in poor machine efficiency and loss of time.
• Make use of the experience and latest developments incorporated in this machine by correct operation and careful maintenance and the machine will always give you good service.

OF SPECIAL IMPORTANCE

• Please also note that the CLAAS Pickup is also called the machine in the following chapters. The notes in this fitting and operating manual should be read and observed by all persons who are involved in the use, maintenance, repair or monitoring of the machine.
• In order to provide a better illustration, some of the guards and covers have been removed for this purpose. all guards and covers must be replaced before the machine is started! Pay particular care when reading the sections “Safety rules« and »Prior to operation«.
• The use of spare parts, accessories, and ancillary equipment not originally manufactured by CLAAS, or which have not been checked and approved by CLAAS, can change the specified design characteristics of the CLAAS machine or can detract from its functional performance, with a possible adverse effect on the active and/or passive safety of the machine and its working safety (accident prevention).
• CLAAS are in no way liable for any damage or personal injury caused through the use of parts, accessories, and ancillary equipment other than original CLAAS parts. Technical specifications, dimensions, and weights cover the corresponding tolerances. CLAAS reserves the right to make subsequent changes in the course of technical developments. Front, rear, right, and left always refer to the direction of travel.
