2.1.1 Using the manual

• This operator’s manual provides you with information about the use, adjustment, operation and maintenance of the CLAAS rotary tedder. Note that the CLAAS rotary tedder is also called “machine” in the chapters to follow. Technical specifications, dimensions, and weights are understood with the usual tolerances.
• Forward, reverse, right and left are always with respect to the direction of forward travel. If you follow the suggested advice for proper care and maintenance of your machine, it will consistently be operational and have a long service life. Have the assembly of the machine and the regular inspections performed by your specialist workshop.
• Failure to perform maintenance or incorrect operation lead to a reduction in performance and a loss of time. If proper operation and careful maintenance is ensured, your machine, which incorporates many years of experience and the latest technology, will render you excellent service.
