INTRODUCTION

• This operator’s manual is the original operator’s manual. Hereafter, it is referred to simply as the operator’s manual. This operator’s manual contains information on the use, adjustment and operation of the CLAAS tedder.
• The advice on care and maintenance should be followed in order to ensure that the machine is always ready for operation and will have a long service life. Assembly and regular inspections of your machine should be carried out by your specialist workshop.
• Failure to carry out maintenance work, or incorrect operation will result in poor machine efficiency and loss of valuable time. With correct operation and maintenance, you will benefit from the technical know-how and experience that went into the design of the machine, and your tedder will always work reliably.

• Please note that in the following chapters, the CLAAS tedder is also simply referred to as the machine. In order to avert danger, the instructions in this operator’s manual must be read and understood by all persons using the machine, performing maintenance or servicing work or inspections on it. Pay particular attention to the sections “Concerning Safety” and “Before Commissioning”.
• The use of spare parts, accessories and ancillary equipment not manufactured originally by CLAAS or not checked and approved by CLAAS can change the specified design characteristics of the CLAAS machine or can detract from its performance, with a possible adverse effect on the active and/or passive safety of the machine and health and safety (accident prevention).
• CLAAS cannot accept liability for any damage or personal injury resulting from the use of parts, accessories and ancillary equipment other than those manufactured or approved by CLAAS. Technical specifications, dimensions and weights are understood with the usual tolerances.
• The manufacturer reserves the right to make modifications to the equipment described herein in the interests of technological development. Errors and omissions excepted. Front, rear, right and left is always to be understood in the direction of travel
