INTRODUCTION

• This operator’s manual provides information on the use, adjustment, and operation of your CLAAS drum mower. Follow advice on correct maintenance and servicing to ensure maximum performance and a long service life of your machine.
• In addition, assembly of your machine and regular inspections must be carried out by your specialist workshop. Failure to carry out maintenance work, or incorrect operation will result in poor machine efficiency and loss of valuable time.
• Make use of the experience and latest knowledge embodied in this machine by operating and maintaining it properly, then your cutting mechanism, mower unit will always produce good results.

OF SPECIAL IMPORTANCE

• Please note that the CLAAS drum mower is also simply called ‘machine’ or ‘mower’ in the following chapters. To prevent accidents, this operator’s manual must be read by everyone who uses the machine and who deals with maintenance, servicing or inspection.
• Some safety devices, covers have been removed only for better presentation of the machine in diagrams. All safety devices, covers must be attached before operating the machine! Pay particular attention to the section ‘Safety rules’ and ‘Prior to operation’.
• The use of spare parts, accessories and additional equipment which is not originally manufactured, checked and released by CLAAS can have a negative effect on specific design features of the CLAAS machine or on its operability, thereby impairing active and/or passive operating safety, as well as safety at work (accident prevention).
• CLAAS will in no way be liable for damage or personal injury caused by the use of non-original CLAAS parts, accessories and additional equipment. Technical data, dimensions and weights are understood with the usual tolerances.

Front, rear, right and left are always understood as in the direction of travel
