This workshop manual provides for the trained specialist detailed information relating to the repair of our tractors. Conventional tools and the general equipment which is normally to be found in a workshop will be required. Some special tools will also be needed for special applications; these are indicated in the appropriate sections of this book as well as being described in the final special tools section. If components have to be changed, only Original spares may be used!

• When ordering components from us, please always quote the chassis number in accordance with the valid documentation relating to those components. The sub-assembly sections in this workshop manual conform to the arrangement of our spare parts micro—fiche system.
• For-repairing the engines, the separate engine manual X 990.005.003, 1991 edition, should be used. Workshop personnel should also observe the data which appears in the maintenance manuals and technical data sheets.
• When the repair work has been completed, the person responsible must conduct a test—run so as to be in a position to guarantee the reliability of the work done and to vouch for the road— worthiness of the vehicle in question. We reserve the right to make any design changes we deem necessary in the interests of technical advancement and development.
