INTRODUCTION

• This manual is an important resource for the safe and proper use of the Telescopic Handler. It provides information on preparing, adjusting, maintaining, and servicing the machine, as well as operating plans for safe use. Operators should read and understand the entire manual and become familiar with the machine before operating it.
• It is important to note that the use of this machine is subject to certain hazards that cannot be eliminated by mechanical means, but only by the exercise of intelligence, care, and common sense. Therefore, competent and careful operators who are thoroughly trained in the safe operation of the equipment and handling of the loads are essential.
• Throughout the manual, important information is provided in italic type and introduced by the words IMPORTANT or NOTE. Operators should read and comply with these messages or directives to improve operating and maintenance efficiency, avoid breakdowns and damage, and extend the machine’s life.
• The manual also includes a chart of standard hardware torques and a storage pocket in the back of the seat for storing the Operator’s Manual. After using the manual, it should be returned to the pocket and kept with the unit at all times. If the machine is resold, the manual should be given to the new owner.
• If the machine was purchased “used” or if the owner’s address has changed, the owner should provide their Manitou dealer or Manitou Group Service Department with the owner’s name and current address, along with the machine model and serial number. This will allow the registered owner information to be updated so that the owner can be notified directly in case of an important product issue, such as a safety update program.
• The Manitou dealership network is available to provide any assistance required, including genuine Manitou service parts. All parts should be obtained from or ordered through the Manitou dealer, and complete information about the part should be provided, including the model and serial number of the machine. The serial number should be recorded in the space provided on the previous page for quick reference.
• Finally, Manitou Group reserves the right to make changes or improvements in the design or construction of any part without incurring the obligation to install such changes on any unit previously delivered.
