CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

1. This manual was developed specifically for the model of Scale Indicator that you have purchased. The information within is for your assistance in operating, adjusting and maintaining your Scale Indicator.
2. The Gehl Company asks that you read and completely understand the contents of this manual and become familiar with your new Scale system before attempting to use it. A Plastic Pouch is provided on the unit for storing the machine’s Operator’s Manual and this Scale Indicator manual.
3. After using this Manual, please return it to the Pouch and keep it with the unit at all times! Furthermore, if this machine is resold, Gehl Company recommends that this Manual be given to the new owner. The serial number for the Scale Indicator is on a decal on the bottom panel of the Indicator Box.
4. In addition to the Indicator serial number, each Weighbar is also serialized; those serial numbers can be found either stamped into each Weighbar or on each Weighbar Decal. Gehl Company reserves the right to make changes or improvements in the design or construction of any part without incurring the obligation to install such changes on any unit previously delivered.
5. Throughout this manual, information is provided which is set in italic type and introduced by the word NOTE. BE SURE to read carefully and comply with the message or directive given.
6. Following this information will improve your operating or maintenance efficiency, help you to avoid costly breakdowns or unnecessary damage and extend your Scale’s life. Any adjustments (beyond what is covered in this manual) or repairs on the Indicator MUST only be attempted by or under the direction of the factory. Contact your local dealer (or the Gehl Service department) for additional directives
