Intended use:

The GMK 5220 is a state-of-the-art truck crane, designed in accordance with approved safety
regulations. Nevertheless, the operator or third parties can still be endangered and the crane or
other property put at risk while using it.

• The truck crane may only be modified with the consent of the manufacturer.
• The GMK 5220 truck crane may only be used in a perfect technical condition as intended and with due
  attention paid to safe operation and possible haz- ards.
  Any malfunctions that could impair safety must be eliminated immediately.
• The GMK 5220 truck crane may only be operated at ambient temperature of between –25 °C to +40 °C
  unless fitted with the appropriate special equip- ment.
• The GMK 5220 truck crane may only be used to lift loads vertically in author- ised rigging modes
  with a hook block that is reeved to the hoist rope. The weight and centre of distribution of the
  loads must be known. Any other or extended use is regarded as other than intended.
• The manufacturer is not liable for any damage caused by improper or unau- thorized use of the GMK
  5220 truck crane. The user alone bears the risk.

Intended use also includes

– observing the entire crane documentation, consisting of the operating instructions, the lifting
capacity table, the outrigger pressure table and the safety manual
– odhering to the inspection and maintenance requirements specified in the
maintenance manual.
