TO OUR CUSTOMER
- This operator’s manual provides the information necessary for operating and maintaining your tractor safely and properly. The contents are mainly composed of the following two items:
- Safety instructions: Essential items that you should observe while operating the tractor.
- Technical instructions: Items that are necessary to operate, adjust, and service the tractor properly.
- Before starting to operate the machine for the first time, you should read this operator’s manual thoroughly and carefully until you are sufficiently familiar with the operation of the machine to do jobs safely and properly. The manual should be regarded as part of the machine and should be kept in a handy place so you can refer to it when required. You are advised to refer to it from time to time to refresh your understanding of the machine.
- Your dealer has performed the pre-delivery service on your new machine. He or she will discuss with you the operating and maintenance instructions given in this manual and instruct you in the proper and varied applications of this machine. Call on him or her at any time when you have a question or need equipment related to the use of your machine.
- Paragraphs in the manual and labels on the machine are particularly important information about safe operation to avoid accidents. You should always keep precautions in mind and follow them during operation. Be sure to wear personal protective equipment during operation.
- In some of the illustrations used in this operator’s manual, panels or guards may have been removed to clarify. Never operate the tractor with these panels and guards removed. If the removal of a shield is necessary to make a repair, it must be replaced before operation.
- If you use a trailer, use a proper one that suits your tractor. Using an improper trailer may cause serious accidents. Never attempt to haul beyond the tractor’s capacity. Follow strictly the instructions outlined in the operator’s manual of the mounted or trailed machinery or trailer, and do not operate the combination tractor-machine or tractor-trailer unless all instructions have been followed.
- All information, illustrations, and specifications contained in this manual are based on the latest information available at the time of publication. The right is reserved to make changes at any time without notice.
CHAPTER 1. FOR SAFE OPERATION
- Read this manual thoroughly and carefully before starting the lawn mower for the first time. Especially abide by the instruction for safe operation. If you do not, it may result in bodily injuries. If you have consumed intoxicating beverages, are drowsy from medication, ill, or tired, never operate the machine.
- When you let someone else operate the machine, instruct this person how to operate the machine and also advise the reading of this manual. Never permit the following persons to operate the machine: – Persons not properly trained to operate the machine – Persons who cannot understand the instructions mentioned on the caution labels – Person women -Children Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
- Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for any accident or hazard caused by the machine to other people or their property. Never perform operations other than those for which the machine is designed. Operations the mower is not designed for may cause damage to the machine, shorten service life, or in the worst case lead to a serious accident. Never attempt unauthorized modification of the machine as this could be very hazardous. Take care as rotating one blade can cause other blades to rotate. Do not touch rotating blades.
- Never step on the mower deck. Be sure to alert them by signaling before you make a new move when you are working with co-workers. While mowing, always wear substantial shoes and long trousers. Do not operate the machine barefoot or while wearing open sandals. When operating, adjusting, or servicing the machine, avoid wearing long loose clothes, accessories or letting long hear hang loose, which could be caught in rotating parts or on projections.
- Be sure to use necessary protective devices such as a headgear, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc. It is recommended to wear ear protectors such as ear plugs, earmuffs, etc. But your ears should not be plugged to the extent that horns of other machines and call from other persons are inaudible.
- Stop the blades and keep the mower in the transport position when crossing surfaces other than grass or when transporting it to and from the area to be mowed. It is not recommendable to operate the machine on a slope. Place the machine on level and hard ground when servicing the machine or mounting or dismounting the mower. Stop the engine and remove the engine key when servicing the machine or mounting or dismounting the mower.
- Be sure to apply the hydraulic lift lock without fail when servicing the mower. Use proper tools when servicing the machine. Using makeshift tools may lead to injuries or poor service, which may result in unexpected accidents during operation.
