Foreword:

  • Proper operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the machine will help it perform to its full capacity and lengthen the service life of its parts.
  • This manual explains the following matters and should be referred to when performing the above procedures.

Safety Precaution:

SAFETY PREPARATIONS BEFORE SERVICE:
• Do not rush. Walk, do not run. Avoid shortcuts that may cause accidents.
• Perform any maintenance and repairs only if trained.
• Air conditioner servicing and repair should be performed by trained specialists since personal injury and/ or environmental damage can result.
• Allow only properly trained tire mechanics with the proper tools to service tires and rims.
• Wear safe clothing to perform repair or service.
• Close fitting clothing-loose or baggy clothing can catch on equipment or controls.
• Protective clothing as required by the job or conditions–for example:
-Hard hat
– Gloves
-Steel toe shoes
– Eye/face protection
– Approved respirator
• Do not wear jewelry that may catach on equipment, controls, or may short if in contact with an electrical components.
• Before performing any service: Park on level ground.
• Block the wheels securely.
• Apply the parking brake.
• Lower the boom and attachment to the ground.
• Stop the engine and remove the key switch unless otherwise specified.
• Release all trapped air and hydraulic pressure by:
• Stopping the engine.
• Moving the bucket and boom control levels back and forth.
• Turning the steering wheel right and left several times.
• Turning the hydraulic oil tank cap 1/3 turn counter clocl~wise.
• Attach a “DO NOT START” or “DO NOT OPERA TE” tag to the steeringt wheel when servicing on, under, or around the machine.
• If working under the raised boom or attachment, be sure to properly block or support them.
