PREFACE ON DEVELOPMENT OF NEW MODEL :

In the уеаг of 1996 when Previous model had Ьееп placed оп the market. ln the уеаг of 2004 when New model has been placed оп the market. ln this period of time, the market conditions were largely changed. ln the уеаг of 1996, which had retained to the trace of the glory in the ЬuЬЫе economy, and in the уеаг of 2004, which has Ьееп gradually looking up, from lasting deflation. ln this period of time, for only excavators in 2 to 6 tons class mini-shovel, the sales all over the world were about 45,000 units, showing the staЫe conditions. But in Japan, the economic condition was largely changed.

• Granted that the sales of Mini-shovel all over the world was in the staЫe conditions, Japanese market was struck Ьу the change of market structure such as the sales in the уеаг of 2002, when compared with those in the уеаг of 1996, was reduced to half, however, the sales in international market douЫed. Оп the other hand, KOBELCO was also under the economic conditions where has Ьееп struck Ьу the wave of change such as the corporation with CNH in the уеаг of 2002, and supply of base machines to the distribution brands like FK, CASE and so оп.
• In view of the present situation, the New model has Ьееп developed with the following concepts after reviewing again the first concept to the roles for excavators which has Ьееп introduced at the beginning, taking the points to Ье improved which could not Ье achieved with Previous model, and the information oЬtained Ьу the hearings performed during service man training curriculum conducted at various districts after Previous model had Ьееп placed оп the market, and then after arguing about the points at issue which were actually desired Ьу users and oЬtained at local site and which were acquired from those information. With the base concept “Finish Work Quickly (with Small-sized Machines )”
