The powershift transmission G 423 has 6 hydraulic controlled clutch packs on 4 main shafts: one clutch each tor forward and reverse and 4 speed clutches.
The clutch packs have 10 outer discs (clutch IV 13 ) with sinter bronze linings and 11 inner discs (clutch IV 12) made of steel. The clutch packs are operated with oil pressure.
Oil is used as a cooling medium and comes out through the main shafts. Oil control rings are fitted outside over the free end of the shafts.
The clutch packs are operated hydraulic/y through a gear change control valve.
The on pressure for operating the clutch packs and the cooling of] quantity is controlled with a regulating valve.
The transmission oil pump delivers the transmission oil.
A fine pressure oil filter is used.
A heat exchanger is installed in the 0/7 flow circuit.
Prop. shafts transmit the drive to the axles from the G423 powershift transmission.
