3 Tightening
3.1 Factory standard: tightening torques for screws on LIEBHERR Mining excavators
This section gives the torque values for screws in dry or greased condition. These torque tables must be used unless a specific torque is given in the manual.
Use the 8.8 torque values from the tables that follow when:
cast counterweights (in addition with “medium strength” thread locker like Loctite 243)
From screw size M20 and larger (except for screws with corrosion protective coating), grease must
be applied on the thread and under the screw head (use swing teeth grease):
