Introduction:
This workshop manual has Π¬Π΅Π΅ΠΏ designed to provide assistance in the service and overhaul of Perkins 900 Series engines. Warning! Read and Π³Π΅ΡΠ΅ΡΠ¬Π΅Π³ the “Safety precautions”. They Π°Π³Π΅ given for ΡΠΎΠΈΠ³ protection and must Π¬Π΅ used at Π°// times. Note: Most of the general information which is included in the User’s Handbook (sections 1 to 9), puΠ«ication number TPD1325E, has not Π¬Π΅Π΅ΠΏ repeated iΠΏ this workshop manual and the two puΠ«ications should Π¬Π΅ used together.
When reference is made to the “left” or “right” side of the engine, this is as seen from the flywheel end of the engine. Special tools have Π¬Π΅Π΅ΠΏ made availaΠ«e and Π° list of these tools is given in section 25. Reference to the relevant special tools is also made at the beginning of each operation. Original setscrews or studs used in holes, which are open to the inside of the engine, have Π° sealant which is applied Π¬Ρ the manufacturer.
