Introduction

• The manual has been compiled in loose leaf form and when further alterations are made the individually affected pages will be up-issued and made available for insertion in the manual in place of those they supersede. The purpose of this manual is to give information, operating, maintenance and repair procedures for the current LPA, LPW and LPWS industrial and marine engine ranges.
• The manual is designed primarily for use by qualified technicians with electrical and mechanical experience. This work can only be carried out if the necessary hand and service tools are available. When the user has insufficient tools, experience or ability to carry out adjustments, maintenance and repairs this work should not be attempted.
• Where accurate measurements or torque values are required they can only be made using calibrated instruments. Under no circumstances should makeshift tools or equipment be used as their use may adversely affect safe working procedures and engine operation. The specification details given apply to a range of engines and not to any one particular engine, in cases of difficulty the user should consurt the local ListerPetter Distributor or Dealer for further advice and technical assistance.

* The TMT 322 / TMT 325 / TMT 320 / TMT 320 FL / TMT 320 FL HT / TMT 320-3 / TMT 320-3FL / TMT 320 SI / TMT 320 SIFL / TMT 315 SIFL / TMT 320-3SI / TMT 320-3SIFL / TMT 315-3SIFLI are equipped with ENGINE LISTER – PETTER
LPWS 4 with nominal running speed 2800 rpm and full speed 3000 rpm.
* The TMT 320 FL TURBO HT is equipped with ENGINE LISTER – PETTER LPWT 4 with nominal running speed 2800
rpm and full speed 3000 rpm.
* These codes must be taken into account for all the adjustments given in this manual
