 Allocation of time :

• The times indicated in this document result from a careful study of the operation concerned; they represent the average time taken to carry out the operation by ONE mechanic with standard skills, having undergone the necessary training, using standard workshop tools and equipment located to allow reasonable access and working conditions. They DO NOT INCLUDE travelling time to or from the farm or site.
• The times indicated take account of difficulties encountered when working on used rather than new ma- chines, and are based on the special tools and procedures recommended by Massey Ferguson and specified in the workshop manual. No power tools are used and no shortcuts are taken. The times are based on a used machine, in a reasonable condition and well maintained using approved parts.
• Additional time may be required to remove seized, rusted or damaged parts; a separate request must be sub— mitted when work is carried out under warranty. A factor has been allowed in the operation times cited to prepare the tractor in the workshop, gather all the tools and parts required, and clean and test the machine after repair. The time needed to remove and reinstall the implements fitted, such as loaders, hedge cutters etc. which hamper the execution of specific tasks IS NOT INCLUDED in the allocated time.
