• The TT 4420-1 and TRT 4420-1 transmissions, Fig- ures 1 and 2 feature a torque converter with two tur— bines instead of the conventional single turbine. Each turbine is connected to its own output gear set. The first turbine provides torque at low speed; the second turbine provides more speed with less torque.
• A combining gear set directs torque from either the first turbine or the second turbine to the range, di- rectional gear and the clutch packages.
