BATTERY
Removal:

• 1. After the truck is stopped & brake pedal is returned to full up position, turn key switch to the OFF position.
• 2. Disconnect battery connector from the truck located at the top of truck cover.
• 3. Position battery replacement device in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• 4. Lift battery retainer plate upward, tilt the edge toward the mast slightly forward to disengage the tongue on the operator compartment end.
• 5. Remove battery with lifting device

• 1 . With a fully charged & tested battery on the lifting device, position the lifting device at the truck according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• 2. Position the battery in the compartment. Be sure the battery has no more than 0.50 inch (13 mm) of “free play” movement in the battery compartment.
• 3. Install the battery retainer plate (see page 96).
• 4. Move lifting device from the area.
• 5. Connect battery connector to the truck, turn key switch ON & test operation of truck.
