INSTRUCTIONS FOR. ORDERING PA.RTS

•  Order repair parts from your Rex distributor. Specify quantity, part number· and name of part. Do not order by reference number o:r state quantity wanted in terms of sets or pairs.
• Always give serial number of machine. This is very important. The serial number is stamped on manufacturers’ plate which is attached to the frame of machine.
• Be particular to give complete shipping address mentioning town, county, and state.. Also give billing instructions and address.. Tell whether to ship via parcel post, express, air express, or freight.

DAMAGE CLAIMS

•  When broken goods are received, a  full description of the damage should be made by the carrier agent on the freight bill. If this description is insisted on full damage can always be collected from the transportation company.
• We assume no responsibility for  damage to merchandise  in transit. Our responsibility ceases upon delivery of shipment to the transportation company, from whom a receipt is received showing  that shipment was in good condition and properly packed when delivered to them; therefore, claims for parts lost or broken in transit should be made BY YOU to the transportation company.

WARRANTY

• CHAIN Belt Company warrants all REX construction machinery it manufactures to be of first class quality throughout and in consequence thereof, will repair or re­ place at any time within six months after initial shipment any part manufactured by it which is proven to have been defective, provided such part is returned to the Jactory through an authorized· REX distributor, freight prepaid. This is the extent of the Company’s liability and no allowance will be made for any charges, delays or expense incident to the replacement of defective parts, nor for any consequential damages or- injuries.
• CHAIN Belt Company assumes no responsibility for engines, electrical equipment and accessories not manufactured by CHAIN Belt Company, but will attempt to obtain satisfaction for any defects within the warranties of the manufactures of such equipment or accessories.
• CHAIN Belt Company shall have the right to discontinue the manufacture of any model or type of product, and rriake changes or improvements in design without incurring the obligation of installing the same on products previously manufactured.

USE OF THIS MANUAL

• This manual contains repair part numbers, descriptions, and number required on the American-Marietta Models C41A (Gas) and C42A (Diesel), AMPAC-4 Pneuma­ tic Compactor. To help in locating repair parts, each illustrated parts breakdown has a descriptive title and also a numerical reference list of the parts shown in the illustration. In the parts list  under the first column headed “Item Number,” is the numeral found in the illustration, pointing out a particular part of the assem­bly. The second column headed “Part Number,” indicates the American-Marietta number and this is the number used when ordering parts. The third column headed “Number Required, II is the number of that particular part required per assembly illustated. The fourth column headed ”Description” is the name of the particular part used. The  description of the part should always accompany the part number for ordering parts. ·
• “Right” and “Left” is determined by looking forward in the same direction that the machine is facing.
• NOTE
• All part numbers listed. in this manual are interchangeable on Gas and Diesel Models unless otherwise specified.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORDERING PARTS

• When ordering parts always specify the Model and Serial number stamped on the American-Marietta name plate.
• Furnish complete description and number of parts wanted, using names and part numbers found in the parts list.
• Give exact shipping instructions such as how to ship, name and address. Confirm telephone a·nd telegraph orders by letter. Unless claims for shortages and errors are made immediately upon receipt of goods, claims may be difficult to satisfy.
• When damaged goods are received, a full description of the damage should be made to the carrier agent on the freight bill. If the description is insisted upon, damages may be coi1ected from the transportation company. ··
