Foreword
About the VW 2.0 Litre turbo diesel
Special features
- ? Volkswagen industrial engine with engine code letters CBHA, CBJB.
- Based on a 2 litre water-cooled four-cylinder diesel engine in in-line configuration.
- One-part engine control (Electronic Control Unit).
- Direct valve actuation via overhead camshaft.
- Maintenance-free valve train via hydraulic tappets.
- Tandem pump drive for vacuum and fuel delivery via camshaft.
- Camshaft and coolant pump driven via toothed belt.
- Operation of the pump/nozzle unit via camshaft; electric activation.
- Intake manifold designed as swirl duct. This sets the intake air into a spinning motion, causing intensive air swirling inside the combustion chamber.
- Specially-shaped piston bowl (main combustion chamber).
- Vulcanised valve cover seal.
- Closed cooling system with separate reservoir and high-pressure relief valve.
- Coolant pump integrated into cylinder block.
- Coolant thermostat integrated into cylinder block.
- Three-phase alternator (generator) 12V / 90A.
