• This repair manual has been prepared to cover the Model TR-160M rough terrain cranes.
• The specification Nos. of the cranes to which this manual is applicable are shown below. Check the specification No. of your crane on the nameplate on the crane.
• The ouline specifications for the respective specification Nos. are listed on the next page. When undertaking the repair work, refer also to the separate “GENERAL KNOWLEDGE”, parts catalog, operation and maintenance manual, and other relevant documents.

• COMPOSITION OF THIS MANUAL:
CHAPTER A:
This chapter contains “General Information” giving summarized repair proc ·edure and cautions in repair work, and “Troubleshooting” listing faults, their causes and remedial measures. The cotents of the separately compiled “General Knowledge” must be thoroughly understood in addition to the caustions given in this manual before starting the repair work.

CHAPTERS B …V:

In these chapters, individual constituent systems of the machine are described. Each chapter starts with “Locations of Components” and “General” to give an overall view of the system.

• Then, each chapter gives “Construction and functions” giving information required to locate the cause of faults, “DISMOUNTING AND REMOUNTING” giving cautions and notes in repair work and “DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY” giving procedure and hints on repair, and “MAINTENANCE STANDARDS” giving repair and replacement criteria.
• Note that for some main components, parts or all of the above items are collectively compiled in a separate book (under preparation). Check these items in the CONTENTS.
