INTRODUCTION AND UTILIZATION:

This LABOR CHART has been developed aiming at facilitating understanding of in-warranty paid labor times, as well as clearly identify through codes the malfunctions that caused component faults, analyze the effectiveness of the shop technical personnel, and provide guidelines in order to charge the customer.

• The LC is divided into chapters that represent component groups, such as for instance: Front Axle, Rear Axle, Transmission, etc. Each chapter is subdivided into units that represent parts from these groups.
• Units are described with their generic name, specific name, and an exploded view showing the parts. It also has 6 columns of information as follows: Item, Group, Fault Code, Hours, and Notes.

Item: This column associates the information with the exploded view.
Group: Represented by letters and numbers, which associate the various chapter parts. Groups are independent across the Fault Code
chapters: Number used to representa a fault in a given component.
Horas: Expresses the number of hours required for the operation.
Notes: A field where general procedure, location, and differentiated
times are described according to the product.

TIME;
The times listed in this publication are the result of a careful study of
each operation. These represent the time spent by a trained technician
with average ability to perform the task, using standard and special
tools. These do not incluid displacements and expenses up to the
equipment site.
The times also include the difficulties encountered in used machines
and are based on methods and recommendations on the use of special
tools, which are described in the Service Manuals.
The following activities are included in the times on this labor chart:
1. All operations such removal of covers, use of jacks, separation,
breaks, draining, and oil change, and parts cleaning.
2. Drive the machine in and out the service shop or to better locate it in
the farm.
3. Receive instructions, read service bulletins and manuals.
4. Perform routine diagnostics.
5. Receive and deliver special tools to the tools storehouse.
6. Removal of appropriated parts from the parts storehouse.
7. Take information to the office personnel.
8. Final checking.
9. Needs of the mechanic and fatigue effects.
10. Machine wash.
