• This manual describes the features, service,adjustment and troubleshooting procedures of theYanmar MP2 and MP4 fuel injection pump modelsused on TNV Direct Injection (DI) engines.The fuel injection pump is an essential componentof the diesel engine and is designed to respond toengine load.
• To provide proper engine performance, thecomponents of the fuel injection system aremanufactured to very close tolerances. The fuelinjection pump is assembled by Yanmar in a specialclean air facility, to ensure all parts are completelyclean during assembly. It is highly important thatwhen servicing the fuel injection pump to keep theworkplace clean. Any type of debris, dust or rustingested into the pump, may damage the pump andcause faulty operation.
