ZETOR:

• You are presented with a user manual amendment which covers the operation and maintenance of a new model of
  the PROXIMA series 2011.
• You are kindly asked to become familiar with the contents of this manual, even though you may be experienced in
  operating other tractors.
• The manual contains new information and overview of how the tractor may be used in different kinds of work.
• If the operating, maintenance and safety rules are observed, your new tractor will become a reliable companion for
  a long time.

GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS:

1. Only a trained operator with a valid driving license and a proper understanding of operating and safety rules is permitted to operate the tractor.
2. In addition to the safety warnings mentioned in this operator’s manual, it is crucial to comply with all general safety and traffic regulations of the country where the tractor is being used.

PROPER CLOTHING

3. Avoid wearing loose clothing and ensure that long hair is secured to prevent it from flying freely.
4. Use appropriate prescribed personal protective equipment such as working boots, gloves, etc., during work.

STARTING THE ENGINE

5. Starting the engine while driving the tractor downhill is strictly prohibited.
6. Starting the tractor by towing it with another tractor or vehicle is allowed only when using a pull bar.
7. Start the tractor from the driver’s seat only with the gear lever in the neutral position and the clutch pedal fully depressed. There is a life hazard when starting the engine by means of a short circuit in the starter connector.
8. Ensure that the key in the key switch is in position “I”.
9. When preheating the engine using an electrical heater, connect the heater first and then plug the cable into the electricity. After finishing the preheating process, disconnect the cable from the electricity source first.
