INFORMATION ON PSM:
PSM is an active control system to stabilize the vehicle at the limit of driving dynamics. Sensors continuously determine:
ο¬ Vehicle speed
ο¬ Direction of travel (steering angle)
ο¬ Transverse acceleration
ο¬ Longitudinal acceleration
ο¬ Rate of turn

Switching off PSM:
Press the PSM switch. The PSM switches off after a short delay.
When the PSM is off, the PSM OFF warning light in the instrument panel and the indicator light in the switch
are lit.
ο¬ When braking, the vehicle is also stabilized when the PSM is switched off!
ο¬ One-sided wheel spin is also prevented when the PSM is switched off!
ο¬ On Tiptronic vehicles, the slip upshift function is switched off when PSM is switched off . Refer to
Characteristic features of Tiptronic vehicles (slip upshift).

General instructions/safety instructions:
The following points must be observed during vehicle diagnosis:
ο¬ After the battery is connected, volatile memories must be reprogrammed. In the case of radio coding and
tuning, the customer must be informed of decoding and the deleted tuner memory.
ο¬ After troubleshooting or repairs, erase the fault memory with the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and carry
out a test drive.
ο¬ After the test drive, read out the fault memory with the 9588 Porsche System Tester II again.
The following points must be observed during vehicle diagnosis:
