• The Suzuki cylinder as delivered from the factory hasgvery mild port timing characteristics with ‘ small Openings, low in the cylinder wall, which limit how much air and fuel gets in, and exhaust out’By changing these openings, we can shift how much air gets into (and exhaust out of) the engine, thereby changing how much power and where the power is made. In this guide I will show you the steps-to properly porting your cylinder to achieve much-greater power!
• Since two stroke engines move fuel and air in and out with openings in the cylinder wall, there is a lot of friction (is wear) on the rings and piston. Therefore, regular replacement is required. By making larger openings and alloWing, the engine to rev much higher, this maintenance is required more often. We recommend piston and ring replacement be done every 35 hrs of. operation for race or dune use. Fortunately due to the simplicity of the engines, this is very easy to do!
