INTRODUCTION:

• This operator’s display is designed to assist a drill operator in efficient operation of the blast hole drill. It gives the user machine data, indicators, and alarms. Some machine setup parameters are also entered through the display. An external data logger unit also allows all alarms and faults to be recorded and removed from the drill for office analysis.
  All servicing and most calibration of the system are to be done only by qualified service personnel.
• This manual is written to help the drill operator understand the working of the display information systemas it pertains to the operator during drill operation. Headings throughout this manual which state “option” apply only to those machines that have the specified option installed.
• The first section of this manual deals with the hardware, including a description of it, how it works and maintenance. The second section covers the software, including a description of each screen.

This PC display unit is the primarymeans of displayingmachine status information for the operator, production supervisors
andmaintenance personnel. The display contains a series of screens, or windows, that provide operational details on all PLC
controlled machine functions. Among the types of information displayed, the following categories are very important:
1. General machine operating status (normal operation and leveling)
2. Alarm status
3. Fault messages
4. Programmed Drill Control operational status (option)
The display also provides the means to modify, control, and/or monitor the following areas:
1. Lubrication system timing
2. Head position limit set-up
3. Accumulated fault history and motion operating hours
4. PLC input/output operation
5. PLC word, bit, and timer status
6. Programmed Drill Control (option) parameter manipulation
7. Drive test functions
