1. 1 SCOPE

This manual contains instructions regarding operation and routine care of the Gardner-Denver RDC-16B Rotary Blasthole Drill – S/N 931 and above. 1.2 HOLE STARTING

General hole starting procedure is given, because this information is basic to most conditions regardless of how the individual drill is equipped.

1.3 ACTUAL DRILLING

Tile “down-hole” technical problems encountered in rotary drilling are not covered in this manual. The solutions to these problems are usually learned by careful observation and on-the-job experience.

1.4 MAXIMUM SERVICE LIFE

To obtain maximum service life and trouble-free operation, it is important to follow the recommendations in the Lubrication and Preventive Maintenance portions of this manual
