This publication is produced by Ferrari Technical Service as an aid to servicing Ferrari cars. It is addressed to expert technicians capable of correctly and safely servicing and repairing Ferrari cars. Attempting to work on the car without the necessary training can be a source of hazard for the technician and the driver and can also damage the car itself.

How the manual is organised

Ferrari numbered this book so a dealer tech can jump from a procedure in one section to a torque or a sensor in another without hunting:

  • The manual is divided into sections identified by a letter (0, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M).
  • Each section is divided into chapters identified by the section letter plus a sequential number (example: A3, B2, D6).
  • Each chapter is divided into paragraphs identified by letter, chapter number and a sequential number separated by a period (example: A3.12, C4.01, F4.01).
  • That system lets the text cross-refer to chapters or paragraphs in other sections.
  • An index at the start of each section tells you which chapter and paragraph to open for a given subject.
  • Illustrations show the parts named in the text with numerical callouts.

Also in General Information: updating/print notes, symbols, abbreviations, service procedures, use of original tools and spare parts, guarantee repairs and tightening torques. Use Ferrari tools and parts where the procedure requires them.

Why specialists keep this PDF

Programmed maintenance is written out

Fluid specs, the service-time schedule and A3 procedures from oil and F1-system level through belts, plugs, alignment, leather care and chassis-frame checks.

V12 plus Motronic in one book

Engine removal, reassembly and overhaul, dry-sump lubrication, cooling, fuel, intake/exhaust, then sensors, actuators and Motronic ECU replacement.

Manual clutch and F1 gearbox

Clutch hydraulics and bleeding sit next to gearbox overhaul, then the electronically controlled gearbox: TCU, hydraulics, power unit, actuators and sensors.

Chassis, Skyhook and coachwork

Full front/rear suspension detach, variable-setting shock system, TPMS, ABS/ASR, airbag, HVAC charge, electrics and workshop paint cycles including SMC bumpers.
