Study the Operatlon and Malntenance lnstructlon Manual
bafore startlng, operatlng, malntalnlng, fuellng, or servlclng
machlne.
Read and heed all machlne-mounted safety slgns bafore startlng,
operatlng, malntalnlng, fuellng or servlclng machlne.
Machlne-mounted safety slgns have been color coded yellow
wlth black bordar and letterlng for WARNING and red wlth
whlte border and letterlng for DANGER polnts.
Nevar attempt to operate the machlne or lts tools from any
posltlon other than seated ln the operator’s seat. Keep head,
body, llmba, hands and feet lnslde operator’s compartment at
all tlmes to reduce exposure to hazards outslde the operator’s
compartment.
Do not allow unauthorlzed personnel to operate, service or
malntaln thls machlne.
Always check work area for dangerous features. The followlng
are examplea of dangerous work areas: slopes. overhangs,
tlmber, demolltlons, tire, high walls, dropoff, backfllls, rough
terraln, dltches, rldges, excavatlons, heavy trafflc, crowded
parking, crowded malntenance and closed areas. Use extreme
care when ln areas such as these.
An operator must know the machlne’s capabilltles. When
worklng on slopes or near dropoffs be alert to avold loose or
soft condltlons that could cause sudden tlpplng or loss of con•
trol.
Do not Jump. on or off machlne. Keep two handa and one foot,
or two feet and one”hand, ln contact wlth stepa, grab ralis and
handles at all tlmes.
Do not use contrais or hoses as handholds when cllmblng on
or off machine. Hoses and controls are movable and do not
provida a solld support. Contrais also may be lnadvertently
moved causlng accldental machlne or equlpment movement.
Keep operator’s compartment, stepping polnts, grab-ralls and
handles clear of forelgn object.s, oil, grease, mud or snow
accumulatlon to minimize the danger of sllpplng or stúmbllng.
Clean mud or grease from shoes bafore attemptlng to mount
or operate the machine.
