To locate perts correctly, consult the alphabetical index on page 3/3 or the numerical In•
dex on page 6. Both Indexes will refer to the subgroup number In which the part is listed.
The parts catalog is divided Into major sections as listed on page 10, idenlilied by the
· alpha digit of the subgroup. number.
The catalog’s illustralions and parts lists will provide the following information:
(1 a) and (1 b) Subgroup number.
(~a) and (2b) Sheet number, used when :me subgroup covers several sheets.
(2c) Indication that the pans list takes more than one page (In the example page 1 of 2).
(3a) and (3b) Subgroups followed by/ alter the number indicates an oplional or special
equipment.
(4) Updating indication. Example Indicates that the last revision of this subgroup was
made In February, 1951.
(5) Subgroup title.
(6a) Symbol indicating that a Repair Kit Is Included In the subgroup. In the example, the
Kit, Item 12, includes items 2 through 4(6b). The itemized components of each kit are
listed on page.9 and are also Identified as Individual items (6c).
(7a) Item. Key number cross referring the lllustralion ilem (7b) to the relevant part number
(7c) The ilem number can be replaced by a subgroup number (example L304) meaning
that that item is !isled in another subgroup.
(8) Part number. Number for ordering parts.
(9a) OTY. Total quantity of parts for one unit.
(9b) The quantily to be established as required.
